2011-06-28Rename pmpkg_t to alpm_pkg_tAllan McRae1-1/+1

2011-06-27Fix several -Wshadow warningsDan McGee1-3/+3
Only one of these looked like a real red flag, in find_requiredby(), but it doesn't hurt to fix several of them up anyway. Unfortunately, we can't turn this on universally due to things like the sync(), remove(), etc. builtins which we often use as variable names. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
2011-06-22Convert backup list to new pmbackup_t typeDan McGee1-46/+34
This allows us to separate the name and hash elements in one place and not scatter different parsing code all over the place, including both the frontend and backend. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
2011-06-03Remove ALPM_LOG_FUNC macroDan McGee1-2/+0
The usefulness of this is rather limited due to it not being compiled into production builds. When you do choose to see the output, it is often overwhelming and not helpful. The best bet is to use a debugger and/or well-placed fprintf() statements. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
2011-03-21Style change: return(x) --> return xDan McGee1-7/+7
This was discussed and more or less agreed upon on the mailing list. A huge checkin, but if we just do it and let people adjust the pain will end soon enough. Rebasing should be relatively straighforward for anyone that sees conflicts; just be sure you use the new return style if possible. The following semantic patch was used to do the change, along with some hand-massaging in order to preserve parenthesis where appropriate: The semantic match that finds this problem is as follows, although some hand-massaging was done in order to keep parenthesis where appropriate: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ expression a; @@ - return(a); + return a; // </smpl> A macros_file was also provided with the following content: Additional steps taken, mainly for ASSERT() macros: $ sed -i -e 's#return(NULL)#return NULL#' lib/libalpm/*.c $ sed -i -e 's#return(-1)#return -1#' lib/libalpm/*.c Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>

2008-03-23memleak fix: ensure backup fname isn't lost if unusedDan McGee1-0/+3
The _alpm_backup_split function always alloced memory for the fname, and we let it disappear in a specific case (upgrade026.py). Fix the issue. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
2007-12-11Update GNU GPL boilerplate and copyright datesDan McGee1-3/+1
Update the GPL boilerplate to direct people to the GNU website for a copy of the license, as well as bump all of Judd's copyrights to 2007. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>

2007-08-16Remove support for SHA1 from pacman.Andrew Fyfe1-3/+3
There's no need for a second hashing algorithm. MD5 serves the purpose of verifying that a package file hasn't been corrupted during download. Signed-off-by: Andrew Fyfe <andrew@neptune-one.net> Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
2007-06-05Const correctness!Dan McGee1-2/+2
Add some 'const' keywords all over the code to make it a bit more strict on what you can and can't do with data. This is especially important when we return pointers to the pacman frontend- ideally this would always be untouchable data. Signed-off-by: Dan McGee <dan@archlinux.org>
2007-03-05This commit looks much more monumental than it is. Almost all just #includeDan McGee1-2/+5
reordering and adding ones that were forgotten (noticed when trying to compile after reordering). * Updated the HACKING file to include information on #include usage. * print -> vprint in "making dir" function in pactest.
2007-02-17* A whole mess of backup changesAaron Griffin1-2/+2
- the code should be clearer, more organized, commented, and have worthwhile variable names now - proactive backup=()s now work. That is, adding a file to a backup array does what it should on the upgrade to that package, no longer forcing you to wait a full upgrade cycle for it to take effect * ldconfig was being run twice on an upgrade operation - fixed * fixed another pm_fprintf/printf output corruption with the progress bars * refactored some duplicate code for adjusting 'requiredby' lists * Added config.rpath to .cvsignore

* ALPM_LOG_FUNCTION macro and all the great work to add this macro everywhere
2007-01-19Preliminary checkin for alpm_list conversionAaron Griffin1-2/+2
* renamed pmlist_t -> alpm_list_t * made alpm_list_t a public type (alpm_list.h header) * removed additional storage for registered DBs in pacman source * some code cleanup * removed duplicate (pm)list_display functions from pacman source * misc code cleanup
2006-12-22Cleanup from Dan McGee <dpmcgee@gmail.com> and Jürgen Hötzel ↵Aaron Griffin1-2/+2
<juergen@hoetzel.info> * configure swig check * misc libalpm cleanup
2006-10-31Numerous changes:Aaron Griffin1-3/+4
* Furthered the "lazy caching" to force the pkgcache to read nothing (INFRQ_NONE) by default. Anything requiring package data should now check the infolevel of each package and attempt to update it. This could be ironed out a bit more later (by using the front-end get_info function * Switched to libfetch. Drastic changes to the download code and the callback progress bar functions. Also fixed the return value of _alpm_downloadfiles_forreal. Downloading now supports http, ftp, https, and files urls, along with 'mtime's and numerous other fancy features from libfetch.
2006-10-20A handful of minor changes:Aaron Griffin1-2/+2
* Removed the PMList typedef, in favor of the same naming scheme other structs use 'pmlist_t' * Added a time stamp on debug output, to make it more informational * Moved alpm_db_register to _alpm_db_register, making the public function not take a callback parameter
2006-10-15Merged frugalware changes (too many to list). Also added some config fileAaron Griffin1-4/+7
handling changes (support [sections] to carry over to included files - this helps with backwards compatibility with existing pacman config files)
